Global activity to develop renewable energy has been accelerating swiftly as the evidence for climate change and the need to replace finite fossil fuels are becoming more evident. Many individual countries, businesses, and research centres have been taking the lead, despite indecision at the G8/G20.
The challenges are large as the required changes are transformational. The technical knowledge and infrastructure supporting our current fossil fuel based economies are very extensive, and have been developed over many decades.
Making the change to a more efficient and less wasteful energy future, and re engineering towards renewable energy is taking place at a much faster pace.
