The Canadian Boreal Initiative, an Ottawa based avocacy group, highlighted top 10 developments for the boreal forest in 2011. In looking for the top stories, we found that it was a good year for postitive moves to promote and set examples for the preservation of the Canadian Boreal", said CBI executive director Larry Innes. "There were some negatives too, but the positives outweighed these and we ended up with mainly a "best 10" list of stories that hopefully will serve as inspiration for others".
