The Canadian Bioenergy Association returns to Scandinavia with a technology mission to Denmark. We will have a fascinating 3-day tour of district energy and CHP sites of all sizes. Day 1 includes visits to district energy facilities running on wood chips and pellets, and a tour of Logstor's district heating pipe plant. Day 2 will include visits to district energy sites, including facilities running on multiple fuels (wood & straw). Day 3 will include CHP sites running on urban waste and municipal solid waste, as well as a facility that converts straw into ethanol.

The cost of travel (including flight, ground transport, meals, and hotels) is estimated at $2,630. The CanBio fee of $1,050 includes shared costs: buses, lunches, etc. The total cost is estimated at $3,680, but we have travel grants (GOA program) that pay up to $1,400 for associations and $1,000 for companies, so net costs are $2,250 and $2,700 respectively.

Weekend in Copenhagen: Since Air Canada flight costs are much lower when staying over a Saturday, we suggest spending Saturday in Copenhagen and flying home Sunday, or staying on for the Sweden leg.

Registration: The registration fee is $1,050 (this does not include airfare and accommodation); members receive discounts. Download a registration form, which can be submitted by fax, email, or post, or click here to register online.
