Mr. Rees is currently on the Board of the Canadian Bioenergy Association (Canbio) and was previously President of the Canadian Ecology Centre. He specializes in renewable energy issues relating to community and regional economic development as well as new project development and planning. He recently completed the Renewable Energy Toolkit for Economic Development for the Government of Alberta and has undertaken recent bioenergy studies for Ontario Power Authority (OPA) and the City of Toronto.
Since 1992, Mr. Rees has been the Managing Partner of Suthey, Holler Associates, an economic consulting company based in the Kingston area of Ontario. He previously worked for Peat Marwick Stevenson & Kellogg and has an honours degree in economics (University of Waterloo).
For many years Christopher was Director of Trade and Transportation for the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris, France and in that capacity travelled around the world representing the interests of the international business community. He has participated in many business and trade related projects of the OECD, the European Communities and the United Nations.
