Participants will attend a one-day special bio-heat course in Graz, Austria, participate in a tour of community heat installations, meet with Austrian policy experts, attend an evening reception in Wels sponsored by the Canadian Embassy, visit the World Sustainable Energy Days (WSED) trade show and tour the space-age Froeling boiler manufacturing facility near Wels and the Andritz torrefied wood plant near Graz. After the event, participants will proceed to Venice for a tour of small heat and power sites in northern Italy (primaily Turboden ORC).
